So, I've started this blog.
But, more importantly, I've begun down this road. I am writing a story; to me, it will always be a novel. Whether anyone but my own family and friends ever read it, it will still always be this novel I wrote.
And, so... I've started this blog.
Whether anyone but my husband and I ever read this blog, it will be here to follow me through this journey.
These characters have lived in my head for so long, and breathing life into them by writing their story fulfills a nagging demand that resides in my soul.
My story is most accurately a YA romance, coming of age tale that follows a girl searching to know herself. Likewise, my blog will follow her author searching to know herself in this new identity as writer.
That doesn't seem accurate, though; I've been a writer my entire "able to hold a pencil" life. It's now author with which I seek to identify myself.
Writing this story has been one of the greatest joys of my life, but it has also brought about some of my greatest fears. It's here that I will share the steps I take in this journey... the ups and the downs, the highs and the lows, the triumphs and the failures.
